What Is an Effective Project Organisation?

Use of project organisations has become increasingly more common. ti. The execution of many projects - particularly those involving a high degree of uncertainty and complexity - has shown, however; that this form of organisation is not without its problems. In this paper we examine why this is so. We also elaborate a theory-based definition of organisational performance, which may help to guide the development ot an effective project organisation.
